L’arbre à Palimpseste Selected for Annecy 2018 MIFA Pitiching Competition

After several rounds of selection which started at the beginning of the year with Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market, AAN and DISCOP calling for projects for a competition of African animation pitches, two projects were crowned.

Congratulations to Ingrid Agbo for the TV series L’Arbre à Palimpseste., and basement animation who produced the new pilot episode. Read here(link to previous post).
Congratulations also to Wendy Spinks and Cléa Mallinson for their short film Mumue – South Africa which was the other project selected.

This was the highlight of the event at DISCOP Johannesburg which wrapped up over the weekend
The two winners therefore received automatic entry into the Animation du Monde programme set up by the Annecy International Animation Film Market and will present their projects during the Animation du Monde pitch sessions at Annecy 2018!
